Wedding Weekend Event Details

We hope you will be able to spend most of the weekend with us but we also realize that some of you will want the option to enjoy the city on your own as well. So, in order to help you with your weekend itinerary, here are the details of what we have planned for the weekend. On your RSVP card you may have already let us know you would like to attend these events. If your plans change from what you put on your card, please let us know - you can use the RSVP tab to do this. We will send out an email prior to wedding weekend to those guests that replied yes to any of the weekend events, so that they have the most up-to-date information regarding meet-up place & time.

Friday the 28th: We have planned two events in the city to welcome our guests to the big apple (local NYC guests are encouraged to come tool!). Let us know if you would like to join us for either the Yankees game or the opening night of the movie, Sex & the City 2. Tickets for the game are $30 and tickets for the movie are still TBD but budget for $15. The game is at 7pm; the movie will likely be around that time as well. Afterwards, we can all re-group for drinks, specific location TBD.

Saturday the 29th: We have booked a 3-hour boat cruise tour of the NYC harbor Saturday afternoon. We will meet to board at 2pm (location is at E. 29th & FDR Drive, look for Marco Polo Cruise boat called the Halfmoon); boat will depart by 2:20pm. All guests are encouraged to join us! The boat ticket is $25 / person and we have arranged for light appetizers and beer / wine / soda to be served during the cruise. The evening is open for your own personal explorations of the city and we encourage you to make plans (i.e. dinner reservations, Broadway tickets, etc) in advance. Let us know if you would like help with this! (Also check out the 'I heart NYC' tab for some recommendations.)

Sunday the 30th: The ceremony is not until 4pm, so guests will have the day to enjoy the city on their own. The reception will end at 11pm but guests are welcome to keep the party going and to enjoy NYC nightlife.

Monday the 31st: We would like one final opportunity to spend with you before we leave for New Zealand that afternoon; therefore, we have arranged for a continental brunch buffet in Olives restaurant of the W Hotel in Union Square, where we are staying, from 10 - Noon.
